Your account name stays private by default. FriendsFinder shows your public name with your unique @username, and a couple profile adds your partner’s public name alongside it.

Private account name Used for your account. It is not shown in full unless you later choose to show it.
Public name This is the name other members see. If left blank, FriendsFinder uses the first part of your account name.
Username Your unique @username is used for profile mentions. Letters, numbers, and underscores only.

Your account setup and public presentation are separate choices. FriendsFinder will never infer couple presentation from your relationship status.
Who are you open to meeting as friends?

Choose one or both. FriendsFinder uses this together with the other profile’s choice, so recommendations are mutual rather than assumed. You can change this later in Profile settings.

These are required whenever this account represents two adults or you choose to present publicly as a couple. Both people must be adults.
